It’s Orange Shirt Day! On Monday, September 30th our staff and students are wearing orange in recognition of Indigenous students that were taken from their families to residential schools. It is a symbol of acknowledgement and reconciliation. Today we’ll be talking in our classrooms about what reconciliation means and why it’s important.
Our orange shirts were designed by William Good, a Coast Salish artist who is also an NCS grandparent. We’re blessed that he and his family are part of our NCS community!
