NCS Sr Girls Volleyball Take 1st Place at Island Championships

The NCS Sr Girls Volleyball team competed in the Island Championships this weekend and ended up finishing 1st to win a spot to provincials. They will enter the provincial tournament ranked #7 in the province. Kassandra Richardson was named a tournament all-star and Asa Liu was named overall tournament MVP.  The girls played amazing and they are very excited to head off to the Provincial Championship in Fernie, BC from November 29 – December 2.
Game 1 vs DCS:
25-17 and 25-18 wins;  Katie Robinson with 5 Aces in the match, Rachel Ward with an 8 serve streak including 3 aces
Game 2 vs Chemainus:
25-7 and 25-11 wins;  Kass Richardson with a 14 serve streak including 8 aces, Kaitlyn Vanderkooi with 6 kills in the match
Game 3 vs Lake Cowichan:
25-9 win, 18-25 loss and 15-10 win; Kass Richardson with 12 kills in the match, Asa Liu with 5 aces in the match
Game 4 vs Brodeur:
25-4 and 25-15 wins; Anna Boland with a 7 serve streak including 3 aces, Asa Liu with 5 aces and 6 kills in the match
Game 5 vs Aspengrove:
25-7 and 25-8 wins; Anna Boland with a 10 serve streak including 5 aces, Kass Richardson with a 9 serve streak including 5 aces, Kaitlyn Vanderkooi with a 10 serve streak including 6 aces, Asa liu with a 7 serve streak including 4 aces
Game 6 vs Lake Cowichan (championship match):
25-17 and 25-8 wins; Asa Liu with 6 kills in the match, Kaitlyn Vanderkooi with 5 kills in the match, Kass Richardson with a 9 serve streak including 4 aces, Raisa vanBaarren with 5 kills
