Sr Girls Volleyball ends the first weekend of play UNDEFEATED!

This past weekend our Senior Girls volleyball team played in their first tournament of the season. The girls played well together against A, AA and AAAA schools to come out on top.

The first match of the day, the girls met Chemainus Secondary which they won the first game 25-10 and the second 25-22. Next they played the host school, Gulf Islands Secondary which they beat 25-12 and 26-24. The third and fourth matches of the game were the toughest match ups of the day with NCS facing Cowichan High School in the third match and winning the first game 25-17, falling a little short for a 23-25 loss but then coming back with a 15-4 game to win the match.

The strongest competition of the day was the final match against Lake Cowichan Secondary. The girls lost the first game 22-25 but then came back to win the second game 25-9 and then become victorious in the match and tournament winners with a third game 15-9 win. Their next tournament is at VIU (co-hosted by Barsby and NDSS) on September 29 and 30.
