Thanks to a new double gymnasium and a strong athletics program, Nanaimo Christian School is building a whole new level of excitement. During the 2021-2022 school year we were able to send seven teams to provincials! These teams included: Sr Boys and Girls Volleyball, eSports, Sr Boys and Girls Basketball, Mountain Biking and Cross Country. 

 

NCS Trail Blazers are not only learning new skills and building character through sports, they are also representing NCS in Nanaimo and across the province through competitive play and great sportsmanship.

Team sports

At NCS, team sports are open to students in grades 6-12. The teams are broken into these grade-levels unless otherwise indicated below: Peewee (grade 6), Bantam (grade 7), Grade 8, Junior (grade 9-10), Senior (grade 11-12).

 

Fall: Sept-Oct/Nov 

• Soccer -- Grades 8-12

• Cross country -- Grades 3-7, Grades 8-12

• Volleyball -- Grade 8, Junior, Senior

• Football -- Peewee, Bantam

 

Winter: Nov-Feb/Mar

• Basketball -- Grade 8, Junior, Senior

• Volleyball -- Peewee, Bantam

 

Spring: Feb-May

• Basketball -- Peewee, Bantam

• Track & Field -- Peewee, Bantam, Grades 8-12

• Badminton -- Grades 8-12

• Golf -- Grades 8-12

 

Individual sports

All students who have an interest in individual sports at the BC school sports level are able to pursue these at NCS. Our students have competed in swimming and gymnastics. Other sports are offered based on student interest.
