Introducing Mrs. Sarah Armstrong, our new teacher librarian at NCS.
Meet Mrs. Sarah Amstrong, our new teacher librarian at NCS. Learn 7 fun facts about her here:
1. What’s your job title at NCS?
2. Tell us a bit about your work before coming to NCS.
Over the past 20 years I have had the privilege of traveling around the world, teaching in many different countries. I returned to Canada 10 years ago, ultimately settling on Vancouver Island where I joined the NCS team. I then took a 2 year break, still serving as a teacher but in my wider community, and am now excited to be returning to NCS as the teacher librarian.
3. What do you love most about the type of work you do?
This new role gives me the privilege of teaching all grades K-5 instead of having my own classroom. I am very excited for this opportunity as I get to see all children and make connections with each of them. What a treat!
4. If you were an animal, what animal would you be? Why?
I would choose a dolphin. Besides being intelligent and skillful, they always possess a charming attitude with a friendly nature and the ability to move or go on with a team.
5. What’s your secret talent or party trick?
I'm a pretty handy person so if something is broken or not working, if you give me a manual, I can probably fix it.
6. What are your hobbies?
I love to cook and bake with my daughter and go on family hikes and bike rides.
7. What’s one thing God has been teaching you this year?
I love God and how He speaks to His children. He reminds me of His never-ending love each and every day and how we are to love others.
