2) Before coming to NCS
I have a major in mathematics, and a minor in Spanish - an interesting combo, I know! While in university, I spent a semester abroad in Spain, where I worked with young children to develop their English speaking skills. Since then I have been teaching middle school in Alberta.
3) Favorite thing about my work
Being a teacher is such rewarding work, and no two days are the same. I love the fact that I can share my faith with students at NCS and work alongside other Christian teachers!
4) If I were an animal ...
I would be a dik-dik. If you Google them, you’ll see why.
5) Secret talent or party trick
I can say the alphabet backwards in under 6 seconds. Does that count?
6) Hobbies
I love to hike. My husband and I are new to the island, and we are very excited to explore new trails! I also love a good book and trying out new recipes in the kitchen.
7) God has been teaching me
Matthew 6:34 “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.” Worrying doesn’t accomplish much, but trusting in the Lord brings peace!
