Meet Mrs. Kailee Kirkbride, an elementary school teacher who is returning to Nanaimo Christian School! Here are 7 things you need to know about her.

2) Before coming to NCS
I began teaching at NCS in 2013 after graduating from VIU and am returning after taking a year off to spend time with my twin girls before they began their school journey this year.
3) Favorite thing about my work
I love having the opportunity to work with kids and help them find their love and passion for learning. I love to see them find joy in working through obstacles and seeing them fill with pride when they feel successful.
4) If I were an animal ...
I'd be a panda. They just seem so peaceful and happy!
5) Secret talent or party trick
I could eat ice cream for every meal of the day. Does that count as a talent?
6) Hobbies
Our family loves to be outdoors! We spend most of our time going for nature walks, hikes, or spending our afternoons beachcombing.
7) God has been teaching me
I am what you would call a planner. I have a plan for everything! But God has been gently reminding me that the plan that I have for myself does not always match the plan that He has for me. Throughout this past year I have been learning to lean less on my own plan and to give my trust to Him in all things. Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
