1. What’s your job title at NCS?

2. Tell us a bit about your work before coming to NCS.
Prior to NCS, I worked as a clinical counsellor with government agencies. I spent 3 years with Child and Youth Mental Health (Ministry of Children and Family Development) and 9 years with the Youth Mental Health Crisis Response Team (Ministry of Health).
3. What do you love most about the type of work you do?
I love inspiring kids and their families with new ways of approaching challenges and believing in people’s potential until they can believe in it themselves.
4. If you were an animal, what animal would you be? Why?
I’d be an Orca. They live in tight family units, feel emotions deeply, and can go about their daily business while half of their brain takes a nap. It’s my literal dream.
5. What’s your secret talent or party trick?
I can MC large events like weddings and conferences.
6. What are your hobbies?
Camping with my people, hiking with my dog, talking to people about stuff that really matters, sitting at the ocean, assembling jigsaw puzzles, and baking anything but pies.
7. What’s one thing God has been teaching you this year?
God has been teaching me to spend less energy on trying to control circumstances and prevent bad things from happening and more energy on relaxing and trusting his ability to help me handle whatever he allows in my moments and my days.
