Introducing our new educational assistants in middle & high school at NCS
Meet our new educational assistants Mrs. Jessica Boy and Ms. Annatjie Joubert (from left). Learn 7 fun facts about them here:
1. What’s your job title at NCS?
Educational Assistant. Mrs. Boy is joining our Middle School team and Ms. Joubert is in High School.
2. Tell us a bit about your work before coming to NCS.
Ms. Joubert has a teaching background and joins us after some time tutoring and in the corporate world. Mrs. Boy worked as a missionary/counsellor in Esperanza, BC working with families and kids for 6 years.
3. What do you love most about the type of work you do?
Ms. Joubert loves giving all children the opportunity to learn and celebrating their successes. She loves being in a Christian school, where she is able to freely talk about Jesus and to converse with students about the Bible and Christianity.
4. If you were an animal, what animal would you be? Why?
Mrs. Boy would be a sea turtle. She would like to float through life and have adventures far and wide!
5. What’s your secret talent or party trick?
Ms. Joubert loves baking, cooking and enjoys catering. Mrs. Boy is excellent at keeping secrets.
6. What are your hobbies?
Mrs. Joubert loves time in nature. She likes to hunt, fish, camp, and go hiking. Mrs. Boy recently took up paddleboarding and is really enjoying it.
7. What’s one thing God has been teaching you this year?
Mrs. Boy has learned that no matter what life throws at you, God is good and there for you. Ms. Joubert is learning about patience. 'I nearly made a poor decision but had a dream about waiting. So I decided to wait and keep praying and it was absolutely worth it. We want things to happen instantaneously, but God has His time and we need to trust Him'.
