Introducing a new high school teacher at NCS
Meet Mrs. Wendy Pazarena, a new high school teacher at Nanaimo Christian School! Here are 7 things you need to know about her.
1. What’s your job title at NCS?
Grade 9/10, High School Teacher
2. Tell us a bit about your work before coming to NCS.
I’ve been teaching at the high school on Haida Gwaii in Queen Charlotte, now called Daajing Giids. I mostly taught math and science.
3. What do you love most about the type of work you do?
I love learning. I enjoy getting to know the staff and students I work with. I also enjoy a good discussion with my students.
4. If you were an animal, what animal would you be? Why?
I would be a cat so I could get lots of love from my people.
5. What’s your secret talent or party trick?
I love solving puzzles.
6. What are your hobbies?
I enjoy gardening, kayaking, hiking and reading.
7. What’s one thing God has been teaching you this year?
God has been teaching me to step out and trust Him with my life as well as my family’s. God has a plan that is best and He might just switch it up to keep it exciting!
