Band is Back at NCS

Mrs. Sarah Deno leads the new middle/high school program in new band portable.

Thank you to the NCS community for your support in helping bring back band to NCS for middle and high school students! The board and senior leadership heard your passion for it, allocated surplus budget funds to purchase and install a band portable on campus, and hired the talented Mrs. Sarah Deno to lead the program. 

The new band portable -- between Building C (Gr 3-5) and the athletic field -- is now up and running, and students are already making music together.

With classes now underway, middle school students are learning their first notes and beginning to read music, while high school musicians are diving in with impressive dedication. Whether they’re starting fresh or building on past experience, their progress is already shining.

We’re excited to see our students embrace the challenge of learning an instrument and to witness the joy that shines through as they play. We can’t wait to hear how they grow throughout the year.
