2026 Fun Fair: A Little Rain, A Lot of Fun!

Through a little weather, a lot of laughter, and beautiful generosity, our community came together in a big way.

On September 24, NCS students, parents, grandparents, alumni and pastors came together for another incredible Fun Fair barbecue and carnival! From bouncy castles and games to cotton candy and hot dogs, the campus was buzzing all evening long.

In spite of the rain, it was a wonderful night with lots of laughs and great family connections. More than 1,000 people came out for the fun.

A heartfelt thank you to:

  • Attendees – Thank you for showing up, raincoats and all! Your enthusiasm, flexibility, and smiles helped make the evening a success.

  • Volunteers – This event wouldn’t happen without you filling 200 volunteer slots! From setting up and relocating activities, to cooking, cleaning, serving, supervising, and tearing down, you jumped in wherever you were needed. A special shout out to the planning team: Aimee Rounding, Sam Collins, and Bruce Pletsch.

  • Corporate sponsors, donors & auction supporters – Thank you to all who contributed! The live auction raised $14,200. Donations and corporate sponsorships added to that for a total of $15,770 going toward the school's long-term, interest-accruing tuition assistance fund.

  • Tent loaners – Thank you to the businesses, churches and service groups whose canopy tents kept us (mostly) dry!

  • The Deibert family – You helped us feed the crowd. Thank you for donating hot dog buns.

  • Our NCS staff and Board – You pitched in, served, and helped create a welcoming space for everyone.

  • Benson, our NCS Panther mascot – You brought extra smiles and high fives.

Thank you to all for making Fun Fair such a success! Rain or shine, we're ready to do it all again. See you at Fun Fair 2027!
