For the first time in NCS history, the Senior Boys' Basketball team competed at the Provincial Championships.
This year the basketball team had an exceptional year playing against both “A” and “AA” teams. Through season play and tournaments they went 15-2 against “A” teams leading up to the provincial championships.
At the North Island Championships (hosted at NCS) they had a perfect sweep and finished in 1st place. Two weeks later they were able to win every game except fell short in the finals at the Island Championship losing to the provincially top-ranked Glenlyon Norfolk School in Victoria.
In the debut appearance at the provincials they had a record of 2-2, which gave them an 11th-place finish. Well done, Trail Blazers!
