More than 1,000 attend annual Fun Fair

Updated: Oct 3, 2022

Thank you to the volunteer parents, grandparents, board members, and staff who made it a fun night.

What a gorgeous fall evening it was for our annual Fun Fair on September 22! More than 1,000 people from our Nanaimo Christian School community came out for the event. There was lots of laughter as kids jumped in bouncy castles and played carnival and lawn games with their teachers. Congrats to all of the students who sunk a teacher or principal in the dunk tank!

The NCS Fun Fair is made possible with the help of parent volunteers & your generous donations. You donated more than $4,000 to help offset costs. Thank you! And thank you to all the incredible volunteers (including grandparents and alumni!), board members and staff who made the event a success. You filled more than 200 volunteer shifts ... serving hot dogs, baking cupcakes, loaning a canopy tent, supervising a bouncy castle, managing the dunk tank, setting up, cleaning up, and lots more!

Sending out a big thank you to those who donated cash, cupcakes, and other items:

  • The Deibert family -- 1,000 hot dog buns

  • Country Grocer -- ice for drink coolers

  • Scot Rounding -- music & sound system

  • Anne Heggs -- table runner sewing

We're so grateful for everyone's enthusiasm and generosity. It was wonderful to be together again as a community and see so many new families getting connected! We saw more than one child crying when it was time to leave. :)
