Students serve in various ways at the Hospice Thrift Shoppe, Loaves & Fishes Food Bank, Lakeside Gardens Seniors Community, and more.
High school students at Nanaimo Christian School recently spent their Friday morning serving in the local community and at the school. They started the morning with a pancake breakfast followed by various groups helping out at the Hospice Thrift Shoppe, Loaves & Fishes Food Bank, Lakeside Gardens Seniors Community, around the NCS neighbourhood, and at the school preparing a hot lunch for the NCS staff. There were even a couple of elementary school student helpers pitching in to set up our pancake breakfast for the 'big kids.'
What a blessing it was to see our students come together to serve. Well done to all of the students who were spreading God's love throughout our community and living out our school mission:
In community, NCS pursues Christ-centered educational excellence that equips students to live Biblically, act responsibly, work cooperatively, communicate effectively and achieve success in who God has called them to be.
