Thank you for your incredible support of our online auction and comedy night playground fundraiser at Nanaimo Christian School! It was wonderful to laugh together again and watch bids for so many auction items soar past their value ($150 pumpkin muffins!). Oh, the generosity! We had hoped to raise $15,000 at the event, and ended the weekend just shy of $35,000 because of you. That is enough to put us over our $100,000 goal for the new playground. Wow! God is good.
NCS elementary students were bursting with excitement and gratitude when they heard the news! Several students wrote thank you letters to you, the amazing people who are making it possible for them to play on a new playground this September!
Thanks to you, the playground equipment has been ordered and the installation has been scheduled for the week of August 16. We need volunteers and food donations. Sign up here. We're looking for:
Equipment installers, no experience necessary (steel-toed shoes required).
Restaurants or cash donations to cover lunch and snacks (commercially prepared, please) for the installation volunteers. You can make a cash donation here to help cover the cost.
People to help serve and clean up the food and drinks.
