NCS gym transformed into arts venue for Future Famous

On May 13 the NCS gym featured a vibrant K-12 gallery and several student performances.

Nanaimo Christian School’s got talent! Families saw it all on display May 13 at the school’s annual Future Famous K-12 celebration of the arts.

The evening opened with performances from the middle and high school bands, setting an energetic and celebratory tone. Other student performances throughout the night – highland dancing, ballet, piano, and more – also showcased beautiful God-given gifts and dedicated hours of practice.

During and between performances families explored the gym-turned-gallery, perusing hundreds of pieces of students’ work: drawings, paintings, sculptures, clothing design, knitting, etc. NCS’ student talent and imagination runs deep! Artwork included classroom assignments and pieces students created outside of school.

New exhibits this year:  3D models, Frankie’s caricatures, and Nanaimo street banner art.

What a joy to see families, friends, and staff come together to celebrate the artistic gifts of NCS students. Thank you to everyone who gave their time and talent to make Future Famous a success.
