Gavin Deibert qualified for provincials in all four of his events at Commonwealth Pool in Saanich.
Last week four Nanaimo Christian School students competed in the 2023 VI Zone High School Swimming Championship Meet at the Commonwealth Pool in Saanich -- Maya Collins (Gr. 8), Jude Deibert (Gr. 8), Avery Klan (Gr. 9), and Gavin Deibert (Gr 10).
The event was attended by 350 swimmers all from 49 different schools on Vancouver Island. Top-five heat finishers advance to the high school provincial swim meet November 17-18 at the Nanaimo Aquatic Centre.
Congratulations to Gavin Deibert who qualified for provincials in all four of his events. Gavin finished 1st in the 50-meter backstroke, 2nd in the 100-meter medley, 3rd in the 50-meter butterfly and 5th in the 50-meter breaststroke.
Other NCS swimmers saw dramatic time drops, and all swimmers showed great spirit and heart. Congratulations to you all!
