NCS team finishes in 3rd place in tournament hosted in new gym.
We are so proud of our Senior Girls Volleyball team as they finished 3rd at the Provincial Championships. It was such a privilege to watch them play in the new NCS gym and to welcome teams from all over the province.
In the first year of being open, the NCS gym hosted 20 teams from around the province in the 2018 Senior “A” Girls Volleyball Provincial Championships. NCS took home the bronze.
NCS had gone the entire season being ranked among the top three teams in the province and proved that they had what it took to earn a medal this year. Their only loss of the tournament came to top-ranked Unity Christian who ended up taking home the banner.
Grade 11 student Asa Liu was named 2nd team all star while grade 12 student Kaitlyn Vanderkooi earned a 1st team all-star selection.
A big thank you to tournament organizer Mrs. Quist and the countless number of volunteers over the five days who helped make hosting such a great success. And a special thanks to Barsby Secondary for being a second host site for this event.
