Your donations meet $100,000 playground fundraising goal!

Online auction and Comedy Night raise $28,500 plus another $6,000 over the weekend to meet the $100,000 goal thanks to your support.

In this video, head principal Mr. Sijpheer announces the total donations that came in during the online auction and Comedy Night playground fundraiser on Friday, April 30: $28,500. Then he updates the banner's progress bar to show only $3,000 is needed to reach our $100,000 goal to pay for the playground.

He says: We are going to trust that God will provide the $3,000 because He has provided everything else up to this point. The equipment has been ordered. The volunteers have started signing up for the August 16 playground installation date. We are trusting.

UPDATE: After the video posted on Facebook on Saturday, one NCS family issued a challenge saying they would match donations dollar-for-dollar up to $1,500. And by Sunday that challenge was met three times over! We ended the weekend with more than $6,000 more in donations since the auction closed on Friday.

That put us over our $100,000 goal! God is so faithful. We will have a new playground ready for kids to use by the first day of school in the fall. Amazing! God is so good.

"The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy." -- Psalm 126:3

Thank you so much to everyone who donated and volunteered since the campaign started last November. Thank you to our Comedy Night event sponsors: Little George’s South, Departure Bay Automotive, Medicine Shoppe Terminal Park, Island-ish, and Gain Foods Bakery.

What a joy to see our community coming together to support our kids! Thank you!
