2) Before coming to NCS
This is my very first year of teaching as I just completed my Bachelor of Education from VIU this May. Previous to my degree, I received a diploma in early childhood education and have worked in various childcare settings and volunteered overseas in Africa at an orphanage school in 2017.
3) Favorite thing about my work
What I love most about teaching is building relationships with the kids and the community that is built within a school. I consider a school like a family and I am so grateful to have been so warmly welcomed to Nanaimo Christian School as a new teacher.
4) If I were an animal ...
I would be a bird so that I could fly!
5) Secret talent or party trick
I know how to milk a cow by hand!
6) Hobbies
I love getting outside and enjoying God’s creation through hiking or taking our truck out into the woods for an adventure.
7) God has been teaching me
God has been continually teaching me how to trust Him. This is something that can easily be said, however, putting into action is a whole different story. Even God’s provision of this job at NCS has made me realize that I can trust Him with my life and that He knows what is best for me. Deuteronomy 31:6 "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."
