The Royal Canadian Legion awarded cash prizes to two grade 12 creative writing students.
Two Nanaimo Christian School students won top awards from this year's Royal Canadian Legion's Remembrance Day Literary Contest in the senior essay category. Jasmin Naylor (left) and Lois van Baaren won 1st & 2nd place respectively. Each received a certificate and a cash prize. Their essays were a part of a grade 12 creative writing class project called Letters Home.
